The Festival del Sol is the first large-scale walking festival in Umbria. An event that began on 18 March and will end on 25 June 2023: 8 weekends dedicated to children and families on the discovery of marvellous areas in the lands of Oil and Sagrantino. The large-scale Festival
The thrilling and sensorial routes proposed by the Festival del Sol offers many relaxing walks, suitable for the entire family, through marvellous landscapes of Sagrantino and the small and charming hamlets of Umbria. The festival goes through: Bevagna, Campello sul Clitunno, Castel Ritaldi, Giano dell’Umbria, Gualdo Cattaneo, Massa Martana, Montefalco and Trevi.

Festival del Sol in Castel Ritaldi
In the historical centre of Castel Ritaldi, it is possible to admire the Castle and the small village that hosts this ancient medieval structure. Must-see: the parish church of Santa Marina which houses gorgeous frescoes by Lattanzio di Niccolò di Liberatore and Tiberio d’Assisi.
How to get to Castel Ritaldi from Todi
It is very easy to get to Castel Ritaldi from Todi: it is just a 35km drive and the road between them takes you through the Martani hills. Travelling along it is a true feast for the eyes.
The Festival del Sol in Trevi
Trevi stands at 412 metres above sea level, on the slopes of Mount Serano. Trevi is also known as the ‘olive town’ due to the trees that surround this town of remarkable environmental, cultural and artistic heritage: this is why it has been included in the club of Italy’s Most beautiful Towns – I Borghi più Belli d’Italia.
