What to do at Lake Fiastra
Lake Fiastra is the largest hydroelectric reservoir in the Marche: a suitable destination for every activity. Anyone who loves relaxing and enjoying the sun can do this at the beach facilities where you can rent sunchairs and umbrellas and bathe in the clear water of the lake, with its rock bed.

The Natural Reserve of the Fiastra Abbey is about 40 km from the lake. It surrounds the monastery from which it takes its name and covers 1824 hectares: a true wealth of biodiversity. It is possible to hike in the reserve. In fact there are many marked paths to choose from based on skill level.
The natural reserve also has many bike paths and it is also possible to book a horseback ride. There are also many areas reserved to people who choose to stay for a picnic and enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors.
Visiting the Abbey
The Chiaravalle Abbey of Fiastra was founded in 1142 by Cistercian monks from the Chiaravalle Mother Abbey in Milan. It is possible to visit the monastery through booking, while the adjacent church is open every day with free entry.
